Budget meeting between Lapid and Netanyahu to be delayed

April 14, 2013 06:05

The meeting to discuss budget cuts between Finance Minister Yair Lapid and Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu will not take place on Sunday as was originally expected, Israel Radio reported.

Before any such meeting will happen, Lapid wants to first meet with Bank of Israel Governer Stanley Fischer to discuss the budget.

Lapid and Fischer share a fragile relationship, as Fischer has made both positive and negative comments about the finance minister in recent weeks.
