Building in Acre collapses after gas explosion

A  couple was reported dead and several are injured after the collapse of a building in Acre. According to Israel Radio, the couple was in their thirties.

The police spokesperson stated that the suspected cause of the explosion was a gas line in the building. Paramedics and other rescue personnel rushed to the scene and have been working to extract people believed to be trapped in the rubble.

The police estimate that up to 10 people could be trapped in the building's wreckage.
