Bulgarian interior minister confirms Burgas' Hezbollah role

After uncertainty over the culprits responsible for a Bulgaria bus bomb, Bulgarian Interior Minister Tsvetlin Yovchev confirmed on Thursday that Hezbollah was in fact responsible for the July bus bombing in Burgas that killed five Israeli tourists and their Bulgarian bus driver, the Sofia News Agency reported.
“There is no change in the Bulgarian stance on the act of terror in Sarafovo. My expert opinion, as I am acquainted with the conclusions and the facts, gathered up to now in the investigation, is that the announced stance of my colleagues is right and I support it,” the Interior Minister reportedly said.
New Foreign Minister Kristian Vigenin said in June that "there is an indication that it is possible (that Hezbollah was behind it) but we cannot take decisions with important consequences for the EU based on indirect data."
She added that if enough proof was provided, she would not waver to back such a decision."Reuters contributed to this report.
