An al-Qaida-linked Somali group, Al-Shabab, has threatened to attack Israel, CNN reported Sunday. According to the report, the group said Israel is destroying the Aksa mosque. Al-Aksa has been the focal point of skirmishes between Palestinians and Israeli security forces over the last few weeks. International security experts have warned of Somalia becoming an Afghanistan-style base for the launching of future international terrorist attacks.
