COGAT revokes VIP privileges of Palestinian Authority general who compared Israel to ISIS

The coordinator of government activities in the territories has revoked VIP privileges of the spokesperson for the Palestinian Authority’s security apparatus, Adnan Damiri, for comparing Israel’s policies in the territories to Islamic State, Israel Radio reported.

The COGAT, Maj. Gen. Yoav Mordechai, made the decision to suspend Damiri’s VIP status after warning him he would do so unless he ceased and desisted from publicly criticizing the Israeli government.According to the Ma’an news agency, Damiri vowed that he and other Palestinian officials would continue to voice their opinions.
