Head of Coordinator of Government Activities in the Territories (COGAT) Major General Kamil Abu Rokon said that "the terrorist organization Hamas crossed a red line; Israel is intensifying its response against it," he wrote on COGAT's Facebook page in Arabic.

"Gaza residents," he added, "look closely at the picture from Operation Protective Edge in 2014. The picture is worth a thousand words."

"The State of Israel will continue to respond harshly against any terrorist activity or rocket fire by the terrorist organization Hamas. "
