The cabinet on Sunday approved the appointments of all 31 members to the Israel
Broadcasting Authority Plenum, including IBA chairman Amir Gilat.
“This is in
order to ensure the continued functioning of the IBA so that it may achieve its
objectives as determined by law,” the cabinet said in a statement. The role of
the plenum, among other things, is to set IBA guidelines, approve its
broadcasting schedule, advise its executive committee and discuss its budget.
