US Senator Charles Schumer (Democrat-NY) has written to Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, calling for a complete and full investigation of the links between the Turkish-based organization behind the flotilla and Al-Qaeda and other terrorist groups.

Senator Schumer's call follows similar calls by the Washington Post, Zionist Organization of America and others for an investigation of Turkey for its role in the Gaza flotilla, one ship of which violently resisted Israel’s lawful blockade of Gaza and attacked the Israeli inspection group, leading to bloodshed.

Hamas is on the US and European Union terrorist lists and is committed in its Charter to Israel’s destruction (Article 15) and the murder of Jews (Article 7).
