A suspected car bomb in Kiryat Yam left a 34-year-old local man badly wounded on Monday night, Coastal District police said.

The man, who police said doesn't have a criminal record, was taken to Rambam Hospital in moderate condition.

A police source said that there is every indication it was an attempted underworld hit, but they haven't determined for sure. He added that they still haven't found remnants of an explosive device or what caused the blast.

Last Thursday night, a man was moderately hurt in a car bomb in Kiryat Gat, and was rushed to Soroka Hospital in Beersheba. It is believed that the bombing was linked to ongoing underworld wars between the organization run by Shalom Domrani and his rivals.
