Iraqi officials say at least 15 people have been killed and 29 wounded when a car bomb ripped through a funeral tent in a mainly Shiite area of Baghdad.

It's the latest in more than a week of bombings that have killed nearly 200 people, raising concerns about an uptick in violence as the US military prepares to withdraw from the country

The car that exploded Thursday was parked near the funeral tent.

Police and hospital officials confirmed the casualty toll. They spoke on condition of anonymity because they weren't authorized to release the information.
