Carson accepts US housing and urban development secretary post

Former presidential candidate Ben Carson has accepted US President-elect Donald Trump's offer to nominate him as secretary of housing and urban development, the Wall Street Journal reported on Wednesday, citing Carson's spokesman.

Carson is a retired surgeon who dropped out of the race for the Republican nomination and backed Trump.
