"Prisoner X" had nothing to do with the Mossad's alleged assassination of Hamas weapons dealer Mahmoud al-Mabhouh in Dubai in January 2010, Channel 10 news reported Thursday.

A member of the Ben Zygier family on Thursday called on the Australian media to investigate the "Prisoner X" affair, saying that the authorities must shed light on the case for the sake of "justice and transparency," Channel 10 reported.

According to The Australian, the family of Zygier were never told the nature of the accusations against him.
