Coastal District Commander Hagai  Dotan is being investigated for sexually harassing female officers who worked underneath him, it was cleared for publication on Thursday.

If Dotan is removed from service he will be the eighth officer with the rank of assistant chief to face such a fate in less than a year and a half.

The allegations against Dotan include acts believed to have been committed over the past year, when the police were already under the spotlight for a series of sex scandals involving senior officers.
