The inter-ministerial committee tasked with deciding the fate of 1,200 children of foreign workers in Israel has unanimously adopted a conclusion.

The conclusion states that children who have lived in Israel for five years, speak Hebrew, and are registered for Israeli schools are allowed to stay. Some provisions of the report have come under fire, such as the requirement to be registered in first grade, which could hurt kindergartners, and a short window of time in which to provide required documents.
