PRAGUE - Czech Prime Minister Petr Necas will step down on Monday and his ruling coalition will try to form a new government led by a different person nominated by his center-right Civic Democrats, he said on Sunday.

Necas had been under intensifying pressure to step down since prosecutors charged one of his closest aides with corruption and abuse of power earlier this week.
