Dagan: Price for Schalit problematic, soldier not a hero

Former Mossad chief Meir Dagan on Wednesday spoke out against the deal by which Israel agreed to free 1,000 Palestinian prisoners in exchange for captive soldier Gilad Schalit, saying that the price was "problematic."
Speaking at a conference in Tel Aviv, Dagan stated that while he was happy that Schalit was back in Israel, he characterized as "exaggerated" the soldier's welcome in Israel as a hero.
"I'm not sure that I liked the fact that the prime minister stood and received him. That seems like a bit of a problem to me, that he was presented as a hero," Dagan said.
