Danny Danon welcomes US and allies’ call for 'appropriate response' to Iran missile test

NEW YORK - Israel’s Ambassador to the United Nations Danny Danon welcomed on Wednesday the United States, United Kingdom, France and Germany’s call for an “appropriate to Iran’s recent missile test, which they stated defied UN Security Council resolution 2231.
The resolution, which endorsed last year’s historic nuclear agreement between Iran and the P5+1 group, restricts Iran from launching missiles capable of carrying a nuclear warhead.
The US and its European allies wrote a joint letter to Spain's UN Ambassador Roman Oyarzun Marchesi and UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon, in which they stated that the Islamic Republic’s recent ballistic tests involved missiles "inherently capable of delivering nuclear weapons” and were "inconsistent with" and "in defiance of" the resolution, pain's UN Ambassador Roman Oyarzun Marchesi and UN chief Ban Ki-moon.
