Dead Sea level rises by centimeter in March

The continued depression in Dead Sea water levels was halted in March and even increased by one centimeter due to brimming reservoirs and a reduction in water usage from the Jordan basin, the Hydrological Service reported on Wednesday.
The latest increase comes in addition to previous level rises of the last two months. The sea surface stood at -423.07 meters compared to -423.08m. this February, and is 0.85m. less than its comparable level last year, decreasing 9.74m. over the last decade. On average, water levels shrunk 0.974m. annually during the last decade and 1.1m. in the last 5 years.
