Death toll from Mexico pipeline explosion rises to 22

MEXICO CITY — Authorities said that the death toll from a pipeline explosion in central Mexico has risen to 22 on Sunday.

Valentin Meneses, the interior secretary for the state of Puebla, told Milenio Television that in addition to the deaths, 32 people have been injured and taken to hospitals.

The explosion also destroyed 32 houses and damaged 83.
