The Defense Ministry was awaiting a legal opinion for a plan in the works to rid Gaza of senior Hamas officials, Israel Radio reported Wednesday morning.

Nearly 50 Palestinian terrorists, who were released as part of the Gilad Schalit deal in 2011, were arrested by the IDF overnight.

Defense Minister Moshe Ya'alon was scheduled to meet Wednesday with the families of the three boys who were kidnapped last week in his office in Tel Aviv.
