Deputy Regional Cooperation Minister Ayoub Kara (Likud) said on Saturday he visited Syria and Lebanon, in part to save Jewish families in the city of Aleppo, Syria.
“The situation there is very difficult,” he said at a cultural event in Beersheba, Channel 10 reported.
Separately, the Druse deputy minister complained that he did not receive a better position in the government. “This is racism and I will fight it with all my strength,” he charged. Kara wanted to be appointed full minister.
