The court spokesman’s office on Tuesday announced that the detention was extended for a junior female reporter who recently allegedly attempted to murder her mother with hot oil while she was sleeping.

The Rishon Lezion Magistrate’s Court’s extension of detention was the second after initially extending the detention of the woman, whose name is still under gag order, on Saturday night to remain in police custody pending completion of the investigation.

The woman’s mother was reportedly seriously injured and is in critical condition and in a coma in a hospital in Kfar Saba.
