'EU blacklisting Hezbollah is a political provocation'

The EU listing Hezbollah as a terrorist organization will be considered as "political provocation," Lebanese caretaker Foreign Affairs Minister Adnan Mansour said, Lebanese Daily Star reported on Friday.

“We categorically reject listing Hezbollah on any terror list. Hezbollah is part and parcel of the Lebanese political and national fabric and is an active part in both Parliament and Cabinet,” Mansour said.

Mansour accused Israel of pressuring other states to list Hezbollah as a terror organization. “We know there are Israeli pressures practiced on more than one international side in order to accuse Hezbollah of terrorism,” the Daily Star quoted him as saying.
