The Education Ministry will enact programs promoting racial tolerance among youth this summer, the ministry announced on Sunday.

The initiative came after the ministry's Executive Director, Dalit Stauber spoke with Chairman of the Student and Youth Council Yuval Kahlon, on Saturday night about raising awareness of equality, mutual respect and tolerance among youth.

Following the conversation, it was agreed that the Council will help promote activities on the subject this summer through its Facebook page as well as the Ministry’s.

The Ministry of Education also said it will upload related lesson plans on its website for educators to use.
