Knesset Speaker Yuli Edelstein headed to the Fourth World Conference of Speakers of Parliament at the UN in New York Wednesday night.

The Knesset Speaker will also meet with UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-Moon and plans to tell him and parliamentary speakers that “they must understand that the international legitimacy that Iran is getting will strengthen the terrorism machine and not only Israel will suffer; the whole world will.”

Majlis (Iranian Parliament) Speaker Ali Larijani is also expected to attend the conference.

Edelstein also plans to present the “Green Knesset” project to make the parliament more eco-friendly to his counterparts from around the world at next week’s conference, which was organized by the Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU) and takes place once every five years.
