Egypt army chief Sisi tops 'Time' reader poll for 'Person of the Year'

Egyptian army chief General Abdel Fattah al-Sisi won a online readers' poll for Time magazine's 2013 "Person of the Year".
On Thursday, Time announced that Sisi, who led the military ouster of Egyptian President Mohamed Morsi, received 449,596 votes, resulting in 26.2 percent of the total. Ranking in second and third place were Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan, with 356,771 votes (20.8%) and American pop sensation Miley Cyrus, who garnered 279,300 vote (16.3%).
Time editors were set to chose the official winner of the contest and announce the result on December 11.
