Erdan calls on AG to open investigations against Arab MKs following violence at Beduin village

Public Security Minister Gilad Erden called on Attorney-General Avichai Mandelblit to open an investigation against Arab MKs Ayman Odeh, Jamal Zahalka and Haneen Zoabi on suspicion of incitement to violence and murder.
Erdan made his request following the violent standoff between protesters and police forces in the southern Israel Beduin community of Umm al-Hiran in which protesters demonstrated against the demolition of 10 houses in the village.
In his request, Erdan wrote to Attorney-General Mandelblit that "the terror attack the brought to the death of [police officer]  Sr. -St. -Maj. Erez Levi, didn't happen in a vacuum, and didn't take place unrelated to events that preceded it. This despicable terror attack was preceded by evil, systematic and consistent incitement that has carried on for a long time, and in which elected persons that represent the public took part- Knesset members."
