The explosion took place on Monday morning at the office Mikhail Skoblonka, a prominent Jewish businessman and leader of the Jewish community in Kazan, Russia.

Skoblonka and his assistant were the only two injured in the blast and are being treated for burns and eye injuries after being transferred to the hospital according to Russian media reports

Following the report, a criminal case was opened for the attempted murder of Skoblonka and his assistant which the police suspects is related to Skoblonka's commercial activity.
