Uri Lifschitz, the painter and sculptor who won many awards including the prestigious Dizengoff prize, died Saturday after a long illness. He was 75.

Lifschitz was known for his abstract-style paintings over a career that spanned several decades. Memorial services will be held tomorrow afternoon at Kibbutz Givat Hashlosha.
