Former High Court justice Miriam Ben-Porat dead at 94

Former High Court justice Miriam Ben-Porat died Thursday in her Jerusalem home at the age of 94.

In 1977, Ben-Porat became the first woman to be appointed as a high court justice, and in 1988 became the first woman to serve as state comptroller.
