Former Israeli MK suspected of receiving bribes of a sexual nature during his tenure

A former Knesset member, whose name remains under gag order, was detained for investigation Wednesday morning, according to the Israeli Police.
The ex-cabinet member is being investigated by the police under suspicion of receiving, during his tenure, bribes from an Israeli businessman. Some of the bribes were of a sexual nature. In return, the former Knesset member is suspected to have promoted the businessman's agenda in several areas.
The police were guided by a firm impression that the suspect was involved in bribery, fraud and breach of trust felonies. He was investigated under warning.
In accordance with investigation development, the Israel Police will determine treatment of the suspect's case.
