French lawmakers will hold a vote on November 28 over whether or not to recognize a Palestinian state, according to AFP on Wednesday. On November 5, it was reported that left-wing lawmakers in France's parliament were readying to submit a motion calling on the government to extend recognition. Last month, the British parliament held a symbolic vote that recognized a Palestinian state. The Swedish government became the first EU actor to officially recognize Palestine.
