Labor leader Avi Gabbay said that "tonight we are departing on a new path, a path that will end at changing the administration," he spoke on Sunday evening following the official announcement of his party's elections.

"In the next 57 days [until the April elections] we will walk from on neighborhood to the other, from town to town, and return the citizens of Israel to our path," he said, "the path of David Ben Gurion and Yitzhak Rabin." Calling his party "a home to all Israelis" he said that today "is a day of hope."
