Meretz chairwoman Gal-On said on Thursday that Bayit Yehudi leader Naftali Bennett was trying to kill the peace process by making comments on Wednesday saying that Israel should annex 60% of the West Bank.

"Bennett is trying to kill the peace process. After talks ended, when he said he doesn't support the release of prisoners, he and his right-wing settler party want to annex Area C," she said.

"Bennett also knows that we are talking about breaking international agreements that Israel has signed and is obligated to uphold, that Israel can't make legal changes to the status of the disputed territories," she continued.
