Gal-on: A-G Weinstein should be probed for handling of Liberman case

Meretz leader Zehava Gal-on said Wednesday said that the Jerusalem Magistrate's Court decision to acquit former foreign minister Avigdor Liberman on fraud and breach of trust charges must be respected, but that Attorney-General Yehuda Weinstein's behavior in the case should be investigated.

"MK Avigdor Liberman's acquittal today obligates a probe into the behavior of Attorney-General Yehuda Weinstein, who went against the opinion of the State Attorney and other senior prosecutors by closing the severe corruption case against Liberman and indicting him on a relatively minor charge."
