IDF chief of General Staff Lt.-Gen Benny Gantz on Sunday gave a speech for Holocaust Rememberance Day at Kibbutz Tel Yitzhak, saying that the IDF is prepared to battle any threats to Israel's future.

During his speech Gantz said, "In the land of the Jewish people, its safe refuge, the IDF stands ready and willing to protect the people from all evil."

Earlier, speaking at the official state ceremony held at Yad Vashem Holocaust museum in Jerusalem, Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu said the Jewish state is capable of defending itself against any potential threat to its existence.
