The Blue and White Party, led by Benny Gantz and Yair Lapid, will not sit in a future coalition with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu after Attorney General Avichai Mandelblit decided to indict the prime minister on charges of bribery, fraud and breach of trust.

“I have no joy facing this news,” said Gantz, “I know how much [Prime Minister] Benjamin Netanyahu loves the nation, but the man I knew would not drag the country to having a part-time Prime Minister.” "Sitting in a government with you in light of the indictment is not on the agenda," Gantz said.

Gantz said that “this is a painful evening for each Israeli patriot” and warned against “a prime minister that legal issues take up most of work day.”
