Crossings into Gaza Strip have been closed since last Tuesday, two days ahead of the terror attack on a school bus in southern Israel and a spike of violence that has seen 18 Palestinians killed, two Israeli injured, and over 120 projectiles fired into Israeli territory, Palestinian news channel Ma'an reported Monday.

Palestinian official Raed Fattouh told Ma'an the closures were "devastating for the commercial sector."
