Germany's Foreign Minister Frank-Walter Steinmeier is set to touch down in Iran on Tuesday for official two day visit to the Islamic Republic, according to Iranian outlet Press TV.

The visit will be a continuation in the rapid warming of ties between Iran and EU countries since the lifting of nuclear sanctions. Iranian President Hassan Rouhani earlier in January visited both Italy and France, with the signing of major business deals with European countries resulting from the visits.
