In a nail-biter of a game against Argentina which went well into overtime with the score still tied at 0-0, Germany was able to score its first and only goal in the last ten minutes of the game.

That game put the Germans ahead of Argentina 1-0 to the end of the game giving Germany its fourth World Cup victory.
