Minister Gila Gamliel’s responsibilities for senior citizens, youth, gender equality and minorities were united under a new name: Ministry for Social Equality.

Gamliel, a mother of two and an MK from Likud, was named minister two months ago with the diverse portfolios, as well as overseeing the “Digital Israel” project to reduce social gaps by making information communications technology accessible throughout the country.

"I am determined to work for the benefit and well-being of all the various sectors in Israel," she said.  "This is my goal and this is my mission."
