A building project for 1400 units in the Gilo neighborhood of Jerusalem, which is located over the 1967 Green Line, was taken off the schedule for discussion this week with the Local Planning and Building Committee.

The plan had sparked international condemnation, who faulted Jerusalem for creating additional roadblocks for the peace process, when it was announced that the local committee would discuss it this week. "The future program will come up for discussion with the local committee the moment it is ready," said a municipality spokeswoman on Sunday.
