ATHENS - Greek police fired teargas on Thursday at small groups of demonstrators hurling stones, as thousands marched to parliament to protest the serious injury of a protester during a strike protest on Wednesday.

A Reuters journalist at the scene said a few dozens broke off from a march of about 3,000 protesters in central Athens and briefly clashed with riot police who dispersed them with teargas.
