An outspoken opponent of President Hugo Chavez said on Tuesday that hooded gunmen sprayed his home with bullets, injuring two of his neighbors. The gunmen tried to kill opposition lawmaker Wilmer Azuaje after he arrived at his Caracas home Monday evening, Azuaje said. Azuaje alleges the government was trying to intimidate him after he leveled corruption accusations against two of the president's brothers. Azuaje told Globovision television earlier in the day that two of his neighbors suffered gunshot wounds, but the injuries were not life threatening. Globovision broadcast footage of bullet holes in the windows of Azuaje's home.
