HRW: Syria increases use of cluster bombs on civilians

Syria's increased use of cluster bombs has upped the number of civilian casualties, the Human Rights Watch said on Saturday.
The HRW identified that at least 156 cluster bombs have been used in 119 locations across Syria in the past six months.
11 civilians, including 2 women and 5 children, were killed, and 27 others were wounded, in two recent cluster bombs attacks in Deir Jamal near Aleppo and Talbiseh near Homs, the HRW said.
“The initial toll is only the beginning because cluster munitions often leave unexploded bomblets that kill and maim long afterward,” the director of the Arms division at HRW, Steve Goose, said.
