UK Foreign Minister William Hague criticized the Egyptian government on Sunday, through his Twitter account. In his "tweet," Hague told the Mubarak regime that "genuine reforms [are] needed and [a] clear path towards an open society based on democratic values."

The message came as widespread protests continued in cities throughout Egypt demanding Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak step down, as well as lower food costs and democratic reforms.
