Haley: Iran's ballistic missile test should be condemned unanimously

US Ambassador to the UN Nikki Haley reacted to this weekend's testing of a medium-range ballistic missile in Iran on Tuesday with a statement that the test should face unanimous condemnation by the United Nations Security Council.
The test was in violation of UN Security Council Resolution 2231 and will be discussed by the Security Council today, per request of the United Kingdom and France.
"Iran's recent ballistic missile test was dangerous and concerning, but not surprising," said Haley. "The United States has repeatedly warned the world about Iran’s deliberate efforts to destabilize the Middle East and defy international norms."
"The international community cannot keep turning a blind eye every time Iran blatantly ignores Security Council resolutions," she continued. "If the Security Council is serious about holding Iran accountable and enforcing our resolutions, then at a minimum we should be able to deliver a unanimous condemnation of this provocative missile test."
