Hamas on Thursday called for another “day of rage” against Israel on Friday and called on Palestinians to take to the streets “in solidarity with the Aksa Mosque and Jerusalem intifada.”

Palestinian Authority officials in Ramallah expressed fear that Hamas’ call was aimed at instigating unrest not only against Israel, but the PA leadership as well.

A senior PA official said that the PA security forces would not allow Hamas to “incite” Palestinians to engage in violence that could plunge the whole region into anarchy and lawlessness.
