A Hamas military court Sunday sentenced to death a Gaza resident convicted of collaborating with Israel and killing senior Hamas commander Mazen Fuqaha, according to Palestinian sources.

Fuqaha, who was a senior leader in Hamas’s armed wing, was mysteriously assassinated on March 24 near his home.

The individual sentenced to death, who has not been named, “made clear, detailed and comprehensive confessions,” according to Hamas Politburo Chairman Ismail Haniyeh, speaking earlier this month.
