Hapoel Kfar Saba soccer player arrested in firearms investigation

A player for Hapoel Kfar Saba was arrested earlier this week as part of a firearms raid carried out by police in the Central District, it emerged on Thursday.

The case broke on Monday, when police announced that they had arrested 17 suspects on suspicion of possession and trafficking in firearms, including the soccer player.

The investigation was carried out over a series of several months of undercover work, police said earlier this week after announcing the arrests.

The player will appear in court on Friday for a remand extension, will police will argue to keep him in custody.
